Living wage ordinance and policy

The Ordinance Code and Board of Supervisors' Policy Manual § 5.5.5.5 sets forth a Living Wage Policy for specified contracts.

Local preference policy

Board of Supervisors' Policy Manual § 5.6.5.2 sets forth a Local Preference Policy. This policy may apply to you if your business has a pyhsical address and meaningful "production capability" within the boundary of the County of Santa Clara.

Pay equity policy

Board of Supervisors' Policy Manual §5.5.5.4, Mandatory Policy Provisions, includes Equal Opportunity and Nondiscrimination.

Protest policy

The Board of Supervisors' Policy Manual § 5.6.5.3, Protest Process, requires that the County provide a process to a contractor (vendor) "in which they can submit a protest of an award of a contract to another contractor or to otherwise challenge any steps taken during a solicitation process that the contractor believes constitutes an abuse of process by County officials or evaluation team members, or abuse of discretion by County officials or evaluation team members."
